The Art of Jewelry accepts MC, VISA, Discover, and Paypal (to confirmed addresses only). We will also accept money orders and personal checks and these services will incur a transaction fee of $10.00.

We don’t use item or stock numbers. We identify items by name, –choose the color or style you want, click the Add to Cart button and continue on the shopping cart to submit your order, or continue shopping.

Your credit card data is protected by Authorize.net Payment Gateway which manages the complex routing of sensitive customer data through secure networks. Your credit card number and expiration date are never available in complete form to anyone. The Art of Jewelry employs 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) technology for safe Internet Protocol (IP) transactions and compliance with the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Security Standards.

If your card is declined or you have difficulty submitting your order, please call Jane at 719-598-1506. I will personally resolve the problem.

We are very careful to display the most accurate colors and sizes. Occasionally PCs or other devices don’t seem to display the colors well. This is due (in part) to the video driver, the number of colors it can display, and the amount of memory available. For example, we needed to change video drivers several times in order to get the best and most accurate color displays on our PC. If you are still unsure about the color, please call Jane 800-572-7920.

Jane stands behind every Kenneth Jay Lane jewel that you purchase. If the item was damaged in shipping, it’s insured, so you can get the USPS to reimburse you. If stones fell out or other problems occur, call Jane 800-572-7920 to inform me so I can determine the best way to repair.

If we do not have your item in stock, there is a 12-week production window. Very often, items arrive sooner than that but it is impossible to specify exactly when your item will arrive within the 12-weeks. Pieces that are made in the studio such as pearl stringing are usually exempt from the 12-week window. However, any item that requires casting, metal work, stone setting and other manufacturing processes may take the full 12 weeks. If you need an item NOW and we don’t have it in stock, please be ready to accept the 12-week window or perhaps find another seller.

FINISHED JEWELRY IS FINAL SALE, NO EXCEPTIONS

By placing your order you agree that you will keep the item. We can’t ship items on a “look-see” basis.

CUSTOM ORDERS

We would be delighted to create a custom style for you in the Kenneth Jay Lane studio. Examples we have already done include pearl bracelet to match necklace, changing the colors of the crystals on a design. etc.

If the piece you want is not in the current KJL line but can be made, there is a 5% credit card add-on. You can avoid this by paying with a check or money order. Always more secure at any rate.

CANCELLING YOUR ORDER

We cannot accept cancellations of KJL jewelry that we have ordered for you after they have been shipped
to me here at my location. KJL will not allow me to return items that I ordered for you.

Items that cannot be returned and are final sale:

  • Kenneth Jay Lane jewelry, vintage jewelry, or designer jewelry, which are final sale.
  • Shipments to foreign countries.
  • close outs or reduced items, which are final sale.
  • specially ordered merchandise requiring making changes to the original design.
  • custom designs such as necklaces we string for customers, etc.

If you have any questions about this be sure to call us or email us. It is always better to clear up any misunderstanding before you order. We want all our customers to be happy, but we need to know if you have special needs that we can satisfy!

We’ve had very few instances of damage in shipping since we started shipping with USPS years go. If you receive broken items, please call me! and then initiate a claim with the USPS to get reimbursed, since all shipments are insured (you can do this online). USPS wants to see the condition of the box, so save that. In some cases we can replace a damaged item. Let us know within 7 days of receiving it. You can ship it back for repair, but please call me at 800-592-7920 first.

IMPORTANT–Customers Are Responsible for Accepting Their Orders

Once we deliver your shipment to the USPS it is their responsibility to deliver it to you. Since many shipments
require a signature, if you are not home when the mail carrier attempts to deliver, the carrier will leave a notice that you must go to your post office to get the package since you must sign for it. It is your responsibility to do so, and if a shipment comes back to us because you did not go to get it at the
post office (a “left” shipment), we will NOT issue a refund. The USPS Priority Mail service is excellent, and
they will do their best to inform you that there is a package waiting to be signed for. We do not consider a “left” package returnable. If it does come back because you failed to accept delivery, or provided wrong address, etc. we will NOT refund the cost of shipping to you AND we will deduct a restocking fee, but only if the item(s) is in resaleable condition. If item(s) left the the post office are damaged or otherwise not resaleable we will NOT refund any amounts to you.

Shipping Outside the U.S.

We will gladly ship your order outside the U.S. We accept credit card payments on international orders. International Shipping is via Federal Express. The cost of the shipment depends on weight and destination.

If Your Check is Returned

Sorry but we must ask you to pay a $35.00 returned check fee if your check “bounces”. We will wait for about 10-12 calendar days after we deposit the check to make sure the check is good. If your check is returned, we will then accept a bank money order or postal money order as payment, but we will NOT resubmit the check. We will mail the returned check to you after you have met your obligations.

Sale Items Not Returnable

  • Sale items are not returnable. It’s a “Final Sale”. This includes red lettered special prices.
  • We accept MasterCard, Discover, and Visa, as well as personal checks and money orders (exception — shipping outside the US requires a credit card).Our email address is jane5505@msn.com .
  • Personal checks must be cleared (see above) and they take 10 days from the day of deposit in our bank.

Note: we insure & ship via priority, US Postal Service 2-3 days. We also ship via FedEx or USPS Express if you need it tomorrow.
